The Abeokuta South Local Government has invited qualified and reputable contractors to submit bids for the rehabilitation and resurfacing of a major road corridor and a bridge within the Council Area.
In a tender notice issued at the Council Secretariat in Ake, the Local Government said the project involves the rehabilitation, resurfacing and palliative repair of the road from Dental Junction through Nawarudeen to Kuto Market, as well as the rehabilitation of the Isale-Oja Kuto Bridge.
The Council urged interested contractors who are duly registered with the Bureau of Public Procurement and Abeokuta South Local Government to obtain tender documents, including project specifications and an unpriced bill of quantities, from the office of the Director of Works and Housing at the Local Government Secretariat.
Prospective bidders are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N100,000 to the Abeokuta South Local Government Treasury and attach evidence of payment to their tender documents.

Other required documents to accompany submissions include a current tax clearance certificate of the company or its managing director, proof of registration with the Bureau of Public Procurement and Abeokuta South Local Government, business premises registration certificate or evidence of payment of the registration fee, and proof of payment of tenement rates to the Council for the past three years.
The Council also noted that any contract awarded will attract statutory deductions, including 7.5 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) and 10 percent Withholding Tax (WHT) in line with government regulations.
Interested contractors are expected to submit their tenders in wax-sealed envelopes clearly marked “Rehabilitation, Resurfacing and Palliative Repair from Dental Junction, Nawarudeen to Kuto Market Road and Rehabilitation of Isale-Oja Kuto Bridge in Abeokuta South Local Government.”
The sealed bids should be addressed to the Executive Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake, Abeokuta, and delivered by hand at the council secretariat not later than Monday, March 9, 2026.
The Local Government stated that it reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any particular tender, adding that no request for variation will be entertained after the contract has been awarded.
The notice was signed by Mrs. Asogun Oyesanmi Olufemi, Head of General Services and Administration, on behalf of the Executive Chairman.
