Ikorodu Federal Constituency in Lagos State was agog on Monday as eminent citizens and the entire populace celebrated Chief (Mrs). Jumoke Benson, the amiable wife of Hon. Jimi Benson, the member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, on her birthday.
Traditional rulers, political leaders, religious leaders, council bosses, governors’ aides, other elected and appointed political office holders, all felicitate with the woman they all described as ‘uncommon’.
The appreciated Jumoke Benson for her motherliness, grace, strength, and for silently supporting numerous worthy initiatives within and outside Ikorodu.
In his birthday greeting to the celebrant, Otunba ‘Dare Odufowokan, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA), to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, prayed for many more decades for Mrs. Benson and wishes her and her darling husband more rewarding Union. He appreciated the celebrant for being the subtle engine room of Hon. Jimi Benson’s life touching politics.
“Described her as the gentle power behind the throne and you will be right for she is gentle but impactful.
Also, if you choose to see her as the subtle engine room that powers the life changing politics of our dear Rep members, you won’t be wrong. She has supported so many good initiative and she is still ready to do more. I congratulate Chief Mrs. Jumoke Benson and wish her many more impactful years,” Odufowokan said.
For Hon. Adedayo Ladega, the celebrant is a gracious, strong and steady support system for her husband. “We celebrate her for her grace, strength, and quiet support. We appreciate her selfless commitment to service and the positive impact she continues to make within Ikorodu and beyond. We wish her good tidings for a long life, good health, peace, and continued joy,” he said
Hon. (Dr) Aro Moshood Abiodun, the member representing Ikorodu Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, also celebrated Benson. “Happy Birthday ma’am! Wishing you a wonderful day filled with love, joy, and all the beautiful things life has to offer.
“Your kind heart, compassion, and generosity touch everyone around you, and we are truly blessed to know you. May this new year of your life be filled with happiness, good health, and countless moments of laughter and peace. Your warmth and grace inspire everyone who crosses your path,” he prayed.

A prominent female politician in the Constituency Bolanle Kafilat Sobowale while thanking God for the life of the celebrant, described her as gracious in leadership, compassionate in service, and excellent in her relationship with the young and old, rich and poor.
Sobowale praised Jumoke Benson’s warmth, commitment, inspiring attributes , praying to God to grant her long life in good health.
Hon. Motuntayo Gbadebo – Alogba, the Chairman Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), also congratulated Mrs Olajumoke Benson, on her birthday. In her congratulatory statement, she described her as mother and pillar of support. ”On behalf of the good people of Ijede LCDA, I heartily felicitate with Mrs. Olajumoke Benson (Original JB) as she marks another year,” she said.
