Pape Gueye scored in extra time in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 final at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

For Senegal, this is a victory in a showdown foretold long before the completion started. Both Senegal and host Morocco received favorable ratings on their way to the final.
However, it was a night of heartbreak for Morocco which falls to an agonising defeat in front of its own fans. Judged as one of the best teams in the tournament, the Moroccans could not curtail the rampaging Senegalese players, succumbing to a narrow defeat eventually
