The ongoing electronic registration and re-registration of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Ogun state has been described as hitch-free.
According to party leaders and other stakeholders in various parts of the state, the exercise is proving to be worth the confidence reposed in it.
The Chairman of the ruling party in Abeokuta South Local Government, Chief Henry Fagbenro, made this known during an interview with newsmen while monitoring the exercise across different wards in the Local Government.
Chief Fagbenro who is also the National chairman All Progressives Congress Local Government Party Chairmen of Nigerias said large number of people are on queue to register to join the APC, a sign that the party is performing well.
He noted that the ruling party is the first in county and the continent to link its members’ registration to their national identity number (NIN).
While commending President Bola Tinubu for initiating the electronic registration, Chief Fagbenro also appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for his digital innovation to make the registration a reality and promote the party in the state.
Similarly, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Public Communications, Otunba ‘Dare Odufowokan, while speaking to journalists in Remo North LGA, said the registration exercise is a proof that the good people of the State are in love with the APC.
“From the huge and prompt turnouts, we can see where the hearts of the people are. APC is the party for us in Ogun State and the people are proving this by turning out daily on huge numbers to be part of the ongoing registration.
“The good works of Governor Dapo Abiodun, which cut across all parts of the state are the testimonies they are talking about as they register for the party in droves. I am particularly pleased with the exercise,” he said.
